| Free Motion Circuit Training |
| |
| FreeMotion Circuit training is a high intensity workout that includes both cardiovascular and resistance training to encourage weight loss that stays lost. This program is a blend of cardio and strength training for a heart-pumping, fat-burning workout. Classes can accommodate 8-10 participants; 2 days a week for a 1 hour session. New classes being on the 1st Tuesday of each month, see fitness staff for details. |

Annette moved to Charlotte in November of 2006 from Fishers, IN, a suburb of Indianapolis. She and her family are originally from Upstate, N.Y.; specifically Syracuse, N.Y.
Annette has been in the fitness industry since 1984. She graduated from Broome Community College in 1980 with an AAS degree as a certified medical assistant, working primarily in orthopedics. After getting married, starting a family, and a couple of career changes, Annette began working in the fitness industry full time in 1997. She is a certified personal trainer and certified group fitness instructor who loves teaching cycle and Zumba. She is also the Group Fitness Coordinator at HFFA.
Annette lives in Huntersville with her husband, Rick, and
3 childeren: Joseph, Anthony, and Janel. They can all be seen regularly working out at HFFA.
Annette volunteers teaching aerobics classes for Solomon House to benefit the Hispanic Community her in Huntersville. She is also actively involved in Mecklenburg Aquatic Club and at her children's school. She hopes to return to school in the near future to obtain her Bachelors
in Exercise Science. |

Bear was raised in a military family and moved frequently. However, he established some roots in North Carolina attending high school in Pinehurst and college at East Carolina University. While at ECU Bear worked in the university’s physical activity promotion laboratory and obtained his masters degree in exercise sport science.
After college Bear moved to Atlanta, GA and had the opportunity to work for the Center of Disease Control as a fitness expert as well as an exercise physiologist for a leading cardiology practice. Over the last five years in the fitness/wellness industry Bear has enjoyed experience in various arenas; including personal training, group fitness, cardiac stress testing, physical activity research and higher education.
Bear’s personal training style focuses on functional and core training, corrective exercise techniques and strength and conditioning. The major focus of his training style is geared to emphasize the health benefits of exercise.
Bear joined HFFA inn October of 2007 and is excited to be an active part of the community. He holds a position with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as an adjunct faculty in the Exercise and Sport Science department.
An avid sports fan, he spent much of his childhood playing all competitive sports while focusing specifically on baseball.
Bear now lives in Huntersville with his wife Sarah and their weimaraner Dakota. While not working, you can likely find Bear engaged in any outdoor activity: cycling, hiking and traveling just to name a few. |

Harvey moved to North Carolina from Syracuse, New York in October 2006. He started working at HFFA in February 2007. Prior to obtaining a job at HFFA he was involved in the health and fitness industry in Syracuse.
Harvey’s interest in fitness started at an early age. He played a number of sports growing up and feels that set the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Eventually, he settled on playing lacrosse and took his talent to Division I powershouse Syracuse. While at Syracuse, he took particular interests in the strength and conditioning programs. Harvey received his Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse in 1999.
Harvey’s training style incorporates body weight training and functional “old school” basics as staples. He feels it is then possible to help one develop overall performance not just in sports but in day to day life as well. Currently, he works with a wide range of ability levels and enjoys the diversity of his clients.
In his free time, Harvey likes to watch movies. |

As an athlete and a professional dedicated to wellness, Jennifer has spent over 15 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, an educator, a coach, and a group exercise instructor in cities such as Los Angeles and San Diego.
In college, Jennifer competed as a Division I athlete in Track and Field and Cross Country. Her undergraduate work focused primarily on cardiovascular and strength rehabilitation.
Jennifer’s experiences range from owning multiple fitness training businesses to educating trainers. She has worked with a variety of clientele including high-performance athletes. Her specialty is lifestyle and weight management with an emphasis on injury prevention.
For fun, Jennifer enjoys training with her husband and competing in local races, including triathlons and keeping up with her two boys. She also enjoys using her gifts to mentor other women in her industry. |

Athletics and fitness have always been a large part of Kathy Goody's life. As the youngest in an athletic all girl family of five she learned about competition early. At age 16 she started working in aquatics as an instructor and has been involved ever since. Kathy works hard to provide a unique, inspired method of training using sound fundamental principles for an exciting and fun experience. She knows ultimately if clients are not enjoying what they do they will not stick with it.
Kathy, as a younger athlete enjoyed basketball, softball and field hockey. In college, she took up rowing. After graduating with a BA from UNH, Kathy moved to Boston to further her rowing career and train for the lightweight national rowing team. She gained valuable experience training as a high level athlete and competed all over the world. Upon retiring from rowing she tried many sports, including mountain bike racing, swimming, road cycling and even adventure racing.
Kathy began competing in triathlon in 2000 and is now very active in the tri community. Kathy started up Team Triumph, an all women's triathlon team of greater Charlotte and runs the triathlon training program at HFFA. Kathy organizes many clinics and triathlon events and is a member of the Cool Breeze race team. Kathy helped start up the Birkdale Animal Kid's triathlon series and runs triathlon camps for kids all summer.
When she is not training others Kathy can be found adventuring with her four children.

Philip has been a resident of Huntersville for the majority of his life, and started working at HFFA in February 2008. He is a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School where he was a member of the basketball team.
He grew up playing sports, and staying active, and believes it is essential to leading a healthy lifestyle.
Philip developed his love of fitness through sports and enjoys the challenge a tough workout at the gym brings. In his spare time, Philip enjoys watching all types of athletic events, playing pick up ball with friends, and working out.
Philip is currently enrolled in the transfer program at CPCC for UNCC. While undecided in his major, Philip wants to pursue a career in a sports related field. |

30 Day Fitness Challenge |
The 30 day fitness challenge is for you if you have a moderate level of fitness, strong level of commitment and 20lbs or less to lose. This challenge will empower you to get dramatic results at an accelerated pace, develop your strength, flexibility, coordination and endurance reaching levels of fitness you thought unattainable.

| Short Burst Training |
SBT is a 30 minute workout using a series of high-intensity, short-duration exercises (otherwise known as sprints or “all out efforts”). These intervals combined with brief periods of lower-intensity exercises targeting the posture, core and balance system create the ultimate calorie burning program.
