HFFA encourages the whole family to get out and play a whole new way. Make plans now for a whole weekend of activity for the entire family, set goals and achieve together. Saturday, April 30 let the kids shine as they launch the Kids Tri Series, get into the fun and excitement of healthy play and see how much they have grown and improved over last year. Then let Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, Grandpa get in the fun on Sunday, May 1 for the Huntersville Sprint. Show them that you are as committed as they are and all that you can achieve together!

Procedures
Arrive at HFFA in plenty of time to set up bikes in transition in the Huntersville Park across the street.
Pick up your packet and aquaint yourself with the race course and area. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to address questions and assist you in the set up.
Age Categories/Distance
2 - 3 yrs Fun Run: 100 yards
4 – 6 yrs: 25 yd swim/.3 mile bike/.3 mile run
7 – 8 yrs: 50 yd swim/1 mile bike/.3 mile run
9 – 10 yrs: 75 yd swim/1 mile bike/.3 mile run
11 – 12 yrs: 100 yd swim/2 mile bike/.75 mile run
13 – 14 yrs: 200 yd swim/2 mile bike/1 mile run
Physically Challenged: 100 yd swim/1 mile bike
NCTS rules state that once you compete in a particular race category in an NCTS race you must remain in that same category for all future NCTS races in that calendar year.
An athlete’s age for any USAT sanctioned race will be his/her age as of December 31, 2010. The age he/she is on 12/31 will determine his/her racing age group. If an athlete is due to “age-up” into the next group, it will happen at the beginning of the year, not after the athlete’s birthday.
Rules of Competition
The Birkdale Animal Hospital 2011 Kids Triathlon Series is organized and directed under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must also comply with Town of Huntersville, Parks & Recreation and HFFA rules. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Babystrollers/Babyjoggers are not permitted on the race course.
