NEW RACE TRAINING PROGRAM AND ZUMBA!
HUNTERSVILLE, NC – For runners interested in competing in 5K and 10K race events, Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics is introducing a new training program in September.
Beginning Monday, September 15, this race preparation program will meet twice weekly for eight weeks leading up to HFFA’s Fall Harvest 5K and 10K race events. Sessions include gait analysis, proper running technique, and interval and strength training associated with running. Cost to participate is $150 and includes the Fall Harvest race registration fee, an event t-shirt, and an event “goodie bag.” Classes are conducted by HFFA personal trainer/triathlete Jennifer Magnuson. Zumba!
HFFA is expanding its fitness offerings to include four weekly sessions of Zumba, a group fitness class that mixes high-energy moves with upbeat Latin music and is fast becoming the hottest cardio fitness program in the nation. Zumba classes are offered four times a week and are free for members. Non-members may purchase 10 classes for $80.00. Free Motion Classes
HFFA is also conducting ongoing guided weight training and resistance programs with the innovative Free Motion system. Classes include the following :
- Free Motion Circuit Group Training : Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. with trainer Bear Robinson. Ten-class pass: $100.
- Free Motion Tower Group Training : Friday mornings at 6:00 a.m. with Bear Robinson. Ten-class pass: $100.
